Book Review: Shakespeare's Secret by Elise Broach

Hero Netherfield doesn’t like when her family moves. She hardly unpacks anymore, just taking out the bare essentials: her books and collection of unique bottles. Her parents are extremely Shakespeare obsessed, especially her dad. He actually needs to be such for his very nerdy job. It doesn’t matter to Hero so much, except for the fact the play “Much Ado about Nothing” is where her parents got her name from, choosing a crucial character, so Hero has some pretty big shoes to fill.

But what happens when she discovers her house is rumored to hold one of the largest diamonds in existence, one that might have belonged to the real Shakespeare?

A well put, suspenseful book for intermediate readers. I loved it so much at a book club I was in in 4th grade, I could not read only a chapter a night which was reccomended. It was just so hard to stop!
